Generations of Lake Memories

Preserving the stories and traditions of lake life in custom-designed books.

About

Stoney Point Press was established by Jessica Siefer, who was the youngest of five children growing up on the shores of a small town lake. Summers were spent boating, swimming, and sailing, while winters often involved snowmobiling adventures across the frozen lake. Jessica’s father owned a publishing company, where she worked for nearly a decade after graduating from the University of Minnesota. The experience deepened her passion for interviewing, writing, and storytelling.

After several years working in marketing and the nonprofit sector in Florida, Jessica returned to the Midwest with an idea inspired by a personal project. She began transforming her parents’ decades of scattered photos, videos, and recorded memories from their life on the lake—along with many family trips to lakes in Minnesota, Colorado, Canada, and Alaska—into a professionally designed book. This project revealed how few options were available for lake lovers to preserve their stories in a guided, collaborative, and high-quality way.

Named after the street where Jessica grew up, Stoney Point Press now produces highly personalized, beautifully designed print and digital keepsakes that capture and celebrate the history, traditions, and everyday moments of lake home life.

“The lake is calling. . .and I must go.”
